The Union of Democratic Mineworkers

The Union of Democratic Mineworkers (UDM) received official registration on 6th December 1985. A federally based mining trade union, it was made up of the Nottingham Section, South Derbyshire Section, Colliery Trade and Allied Workers Association (CTAWA) and later a clerical section, the Colliery Staff and Supervisory Section (CSSS).
